This is the outlook for the next four weeks using the JMA issued by the Japanese Met Agency. This is just one model the JMA but followers will know that I normally publish it every Thursday or Friday. I have added the three images together and I have rotated them and added a red line so you can see the UK. Blue colours are low pressure areas and orange’s colours are high pressure areas.
Week 1 22nd November to 28th.
Low pressure stretches across the Atlantic with high pressure over Greenland and Canada. Temperatures are looking to be slightly below average with rainfall around average.
Week 2 29th November to 5th December.
Low pressure will still be across the Atlantic and the high pressure moves northwards. High pressure moves over central Europe. This will turn into a wetter period with above average rainfall. Temperatures will increase to around 1 or 2 degrees above average for early December. We may see some stormy conditions move into the UK area from the Atlantic.
6th December to 19th.
This is a two week period and it looks like high pressure will be over Scotland and the eastern side of the UK. This will bring slightly above average rainfall and temperatures around average for early December.
