It’s looking like an extended period of cooler temperatures is on it’s way. Starting from around 7th October the temperature will fall away and remain cool for 7 to 10 days. It looks like it will remain mainly dry with just the odd shower from around the 13th.
If you look at this GEFS graph image it shows the temperature at 850 hpa, that’s 5,000 feet or 1,500 metres. Our temperature will rise a little over the next couple of days then will fall sharply around the 7th to around 2 c at 1,500 metres, around 13 c at ground level.
The bottom of the graph is rainfall, you can see just a few showers from the 13th onwards.
