Towards the end of this week and during the weekend we will see temperatures rising to 20 degrees and it will be dry.
The jet-stream will be moving up from a South westerly direction building a ridge over the UK. If we look Westwards you can see the jet-stream as made a deep trough over the Atlantic. So cold air plunges southwards into the Atlantic and the warm air will be pushed up into the higher latitudes over the Norwegian sea.
So it is like a skipping rope that we wave, the shape in the rope will moves along towards the other end. So the wave in the jet-stream will move Eastwards over the UK replacing the ridge with a trough next week bringing some unsettled weather.
So make the most of this coming spell of warm weather at the end of the week because cooler, unsettled weather is on its way.
