Agreement between four different models are all showing a change is on its way. They are all showing cold air will move down through the UK. I think the -5 c line, at 1,500 metres will pass over the Midlands during Wednesday evening. Then during Thursday we should see a risk of snow.
At this time I cannot put any detail on how much or little snow we will see. Saturday is showing some heavy snow but that is subject to a small low pressure system passing close the south of the UK. The 4 different models change their idea on this so that’s is well subject to change so please don’t get excited about Saturday.
Temperature falls sharply during Wednesday, risk of some snow from Thursday into the weekend. Daytimes 3-4 centigrade, below freezing overnight with sharp frosts.
