This is the outlook for the next four weeks using the JMA issued by the Japanese Met Agency. This is just one model the JMA but followers will know that I normally publish it every Thursday or Friday. I have added the three images together and I have rotated them and added a red line so you can see the UK. Blue colours are low pressure areas and orange’s colours are high pressure areas.

Week 1 29th March to 5th April

Low pressure is firmly in control stretching from North America across the Atlantic over the UK and over to Scandinavia. This will bring above average rainfall and temperatures 2 or 3 degrees below average for the end of March first week of April.

Week 2 6th April to 12th.

Low pressure in the Atlantic and high pressure over central Europe. Rainfall will be above average and temperature 1-2 degrees below average for early April.

Week 3-4 13th April to 26th.

A slack period of air pressure, it will become a little drier with around average rainfall. It will still feel cool with the temperature 1 or 2 degrees cooler than you would expect for the middle of April.
