The GEFS shows that the weather will remain unsettled and turning colder around the middle of the month possibly turning wintry.

For new followers who have not seen the GEFS graph before, I use it to show a general idea for the next two weeks. It shows the temperature at 1,500 metres and the bottom of the graph shows rainfall. There are a few reasons I look at the temperature at 1,500m but this time of the year if the temperature falls to -5 c any precipitation could be wintry.

So you can see the temperature falls a little over the next few days then rises around 10 to 13th. But what I am watching is the period between the 17th to 21st when we could see a return of wintry weather. It shows the green line is close to -5c, so we could see precipitation falling as sleet or snow.

The bottom of the graph shows we have a lot of rain around too especially between 10th to 16th.
