High air pressure ridge over Scandinavia continues to be in place causing a blocking to take place from any Atlantic driven weather system entering the UK. This keeps a low pressure trough over the North Atlantic. The jet-stream is coming up from the South-west over Ireland and the West coast of Scotland.
This Scandinavia high blocking is not weakening and is remaining in place. We may see the odd weak weather front move in from the Atlantic from time to time bringing some cloud and the odd shower.
So there is little in the way of change with this very warm rather hot, dry weather continuing and it’s looking like it will remain through the rest of this month and into early August. May be with increasing humidity and heat we may see some instability starting to take place and this may set off the odd thunderstorm.
