I am a little late at looking at the JMA this week. It started off on the Wednesday 25th but it shows what weather we can expect during the next 3 weeks. Please not the dates are approximate and changes can and do occur either side of these dates. The JMA is issued from the Japanese Met Agency,
Due to technical difficulties the image I have could not be uploaded, so if I can later I will update this page.
Week 1 from 25th to 31st May.
High pressure was and still is over the UK with the centre of the High over Scandinavia and Iceland. Over all this gave us mainly dry, fine settled conditions with temperature around 16-18 centigrade.
Week 2 from 1st to 7th June.
The pressure reduces and pulls away from the UK only just remaining over Scotland and settles over the North Pole. This period will become mixed with some showers, heavy at times with temperatures around 16-18 centigrade.
Week 3 and 4 8th 21st June.
No high or low pressure systems are present and this looks like bringing westerly’s through the UK with some unsettled conditions at times. This will bring periods of some heavy rain with daytime top temperatures around 16-17 centigrade.
