This is the outlook from the JMA the Japanese Met Officer for October, November and December. We have to take the long range with a large pinch of salt, but it does have some credibility.

I have added the 3 images together for each month, rotated them and added a red line so you can see the UK. The images shows sea surface air pressure.

October.

Low pressure is in control and this will bring a southerly wind direction with temperatures around average for October and slightly above average rainfall.

November.

Again low pressure is in control bringing temperatures around average with above average rainfall.

December.

Low pressure over Scandinavia and Scotland will bring a northerly airflow so you would expect a chilly month with rainfall above average, some of this could be a little wintry.
