A deep low pressure system will bring some unwelcome wet and windy weather during Friday and Saturday. The exact track of this low pressure system is still to be worked out. It will be coming towards the UK from the South West.
At this time it looks like during the early hours of Friday we will have some very heavy and persistent rain moving into the area. Friday will see frequent showers or longer spells of rain. The windspeed will increase gusting up to 30 mph force 6. The low pressure system will continue to move North westwards during Saturday and this is when we will see the strongest winds with gusts reaching up to 45 mph force 8. There will be some heavy showers too. During Sunday the centre of the low pressure system will be over Scandinavia and the winds will gradually ease during the day. There will be a chance of catching a shower.
