This is an outlook for the next four weeks using the JMA model from the Japanese Met Agency. I have rotated the images and pasted them together and added a red line so you can see the UK. Blue colours are low pressures and oranges high pressure.
WEEK 1 from 24th to 30th August.
The models started on the 24th so we are 2 days into the model at the time of writing.
Its showing mainly high pressure over the UK but to the west there is mainly a low pressure trough. This means low pressure systems, will push in bringing some wet conditions at times. I must say yesterday was the wettest day in this period. But we will some showery conditions at times, but overall it will be mainly dry and warm.
Week 2, 31st August to 6th September.
Low pressure trough stretches across the Atlantic and over the UK. This period will see some unsettled weather with periods of heavy rain and the temperatures just slightly below average.
Week 3 and 4 7th to 20th.
Note this is a 2 week period and its a general idea. Higher pressure looks like building, bringing mainly a drier period, with temperatures around average or just slightly below for mid September.
