Outlook for the net four weeks from the JMA

Outlook for the net four weeks from the JMA

This is the outlook for the next four weeks using the JMA model issued from the Japanese Met Agency. This is not meant to be a forecast but a general outlook from just one model. I have added the three images together and rotated them and add a red line showing the UK. Orange colours are high pressure area’s and blues are low pressure areas.

Week 1. 25th October to 31st.

High pressure looks like it will be in control. This will bring slightly below average rainfall and the temperature around what you would expect for the end of October.

Week 2.  1st November to 7th.

High pressure stretches across the mid Atlantic and onto western side of the UK. Rainfall will be around average for early November but at times the temperature could fall a little below what you would expect when we get a northerly airflow.

Week 3-4 8th November to 21st.

This is a two week period so there could be a slow transition around this period with low pressure taking control. We will start to see above average rainfall and temperatures a little cooler than we would expect for the middle of November.
