This is the outlook for the next four weeks using the JMA issued by the Japanese Met Agency. This is just one model the JMA but followers will know that I normally publish it every Thursday or Friday. I have added the three images together and I have rotated them and added a red line so you can see the UK. Blue colours are low pressure areas and orange’s colours are high pressure areas.
Week 1, 2nd August to 8th.
High pressure is situated over the UK and stretches westwards over the North Atlantic. This will bring mainly dry conditions with temperature around 2 or 3 degrees above average temperature for early August.
Week 2, 9th August to 15th.
A change looks like it will take place. Low pressure will be over the Atlantic on the western coast of mainland UK with low pressure over Ireland and over Spain. This period will start seeing some rain and showers. Scotland looks to have above average temperatures. Temperatures will be around average so a definite cooling down.
Week 3-4 16th August to 29th.
This is a two week period and it looks like we will start to see a gradual improvement with high pressure starting to build over the UK and northern parts of Europe. Temperatures will be around 1 or 2 degrees above average for last third of August. It looks like it will be overall dry.
