This is the outlook using the JMA model from the Japanese Met Agency. This is not a forecast but an outlook for this four week period. But followers will know that I do look at the JMA every week. I have added the 3 images together and rotated them and added a red line so you can see the UK. Oranges colours high pressures and blues low pressures. Please note this is just the JMA model and no other models or data is included but I do think its well worth looked at this every week.
Week 1st to 7th December
High pressure is firmly in control. This will bring mainly dry settled weather with temperatures around average for the time of the year with night time frosts.
Week 2 8th to 14th December.
High pressure is still over the UK but its centre has moved eastwards a little and shape has changed. This will changed the wind direction and we will start to see Southerly to South westerly winds. We will see an increase in temperature to above average and some showery periods.
Week 3 15th to 28th December.
This is a two week period and we will start to see temperatures falling a little, maybe just below average for the time of the year with some showers.
