This is the latest outlook for the next four weeks from the Japanese Met Agency the JMA. It is not meant to be a forecast but a general outlook. I have added the 3 images together and rotated them and added a red line so you can see the UK. Blue colours are low pressure area’s and oranges high pressure area’s.

JMA week 1, 13th December to 19th.

Low pressure is in control bringing an unsettled period of wet and windy weather with above average rainfall. Temperatures look to be around average for early December, except for the North of the UK where the temperatures will below average. This could bring some wintry weather to northern parts of the UK.

JMA week 2, 20th December to 26th.

Low pressure is still located over the UK to bring slightly above average rainfall with the temperature around average for the later parts of December.

JMA week 3-4, 27th December to 9th January.

High pressure is creeping over Scotland from the North. It will be mostly dry with the temperature around average for the start of January.
