This is the outlook for the next four weeks using the JMA model. Followers will know I use this for a general outlook and it’s not meant to be a forecast. The JMA is issued by the Japanese Met Agency. I have added 3 images together rotated them and added a red line so you can see the UK. Blue colours are low pressure areas and oranges high pressure areas.

Week 1, 5th October to 11th.

High pressure stretches across the Atlantic and over the UK. Low pressure stretches across the North Atlantic and over Scandinavia. This would see rainfall and temperatures around average for early October.

Week 2, 12th October to 18th.

This period looks like low pressure will be over a large area of the UK with high pressure situated to the South West of the UK. This will see rainfall above average and temperatures around what you would expect for the middle of October.

Week 3, 19th October to 2nd November.

This is a two week period and it shows little change from the previous week with rainfall slightly above average and the temperature around what you would expect for the end of October.
