This is the latest outlook for the next four weeks from the Japanese Met Agency the JMA. It is not meant to be a forecast but a general outlook. I have added the 3 images together and rotated them and added a red line so you can see the UK. Blue colours are low pressure area’s and oranges high pressure area’s.

Week 1 17th April to 23rd.

High pressure is in control bringing dry, very warm conditions with the temperatures around 2 or 3 degrees higher than you would expect for this time of April. The exceptions is to the far North of Scotland where there will be above average rainfall.

Week 2 24th April to 30th.

High pressure is still around the UK but the wind direction will be coming from a South Westerly direction. This will bring temperatures a little cooler than the previous week. With a South Westerly direction this will bring some showers.

Week 1st May to 14th May.

During this period the air pressure is quite slack and we will see temperatures slightly below average for early May with some wet periods with above average rainfall.
