This is the outlook for the next four weeks using the JMA issued by the Japanese Met Agency. This is just one model the JMA but followers will know that I normally publish it every Thursday or Friday. I have added the three images together and I have rotated them and added a red line so you can see the UK. Blue colours are low pressure areas and orange’s colours are high pressure areas.

Week 1, 17th May to 23rd.

High pressure is firmly in control. This will bring rainfall around average, overall it will mostly dry. Temperatures will be around average. Scotland is looking like there will be above average rainfall.

Week 2, 24th May to 30th.

There looks like there will be little change over this period from the previous week. High pressure will bring rainfall and temperatures around average for the end of May. Overall it will be fairly dry with some showery days.

Week 3-4 31st May to 13th June.

A small area of low pressure is just off the West coast of the UK in the Atlantic with low pressure to the South of England. This looks like a slack period in air pressure. Again rainfall and temperatures will be around average for early June. Scotland looks like it will see above average rainfall.
