This is the outlook for the next four weeks using the JMA issued by the Japanese Met Agency. This is just one model the JMA but followers will know that I normally publish it every Thursday or Friday. I have added the three images together and I have rotated them and added a red line so you can see the UK. Blue colours are low pressure areas and orange’s colours are high pressure areas.

Week 1, 15th March to 21st.

Low pressure mainly around the UK with a high pressure area over Greenland and Iceland. This will bring mainly a cold period with temperature 3 or 4 degrees below what you would expect for mid March. Precipitation will be around average with some of this being wintry.

Week 2, 22nd March 28th.

Again low pressure dominates our weather bringing temperature 2 or 3 degrees below average for the end of March with above average rainfall.

Week 3-4 29th March to 11th April.

This is a bit of a slack period bringing temperature 1 or 2 degrees below average with rainfall around average for early April.
