This is the outlook using the JMA from the Japanese Met Agency. This is an outlook and is not meant to be a forecast but I do like the JMA for a general outlook. I have added 3 images together and added a red line so you can see the UK. Blue colours is low pressure area’s and Oranges high pressure areas.

Week 1, 18th January to 24th.

High pressure is in control of our weather, temperatures are around average for becoming a little warmer than average. Rainfall is below average.

Week 2, 25th to 31st January.

High pressure to the South of the UK with Low pressure to the North. This period will see a change in our weather with westerly’s setting in. Temperatures look like being a little above average, quite mild for the end of January. Rainfall will be above average and sometimes windy.

Week 3-4, 1st February to 14th.

High pressure stretches from West coast America, across the States and the Atlantic over the UK and onto Europe. This will be mainly a dry period with temperatures around average for early February.
