This is the outlook from the JMA the Japanese Met Agency. Followers will know I look at the JMA most weeks and give you an update. I normally do like the JMA as a general outlook, but this week I am not so sure they have it right. But I can only say what I see at this time.
I have add the 3 images together and rotated them, drawing a redline to show you where the UK is. Blue colours is low pressure area’s and oranges high pressures.
Week 1 24th February to 28th.
Low pressure is in control of our weather, we will see a South westerly air flow bringing above average rainfall, with the temperature 1 or 2 degrees warmer than you would expect for the end of February.
Week 2 1st March to 7th.
High pressure ridge over the UK, this looks like bringing a southerly airflow bringing temperature 2 or 3 degrees warmer than you would expect for early March. This period will see some showers.
Week 3-4 8th March to 21st.
This period will see high pressure in control with a easterly airflow bringing mainly dry conditions with the temperature around average.
