It is still looking like a lot cooler temperatures will be with us next week for the start of April.

Overnight into early hours of Monday will see the temperatures falling down to -1 possibly -2 centigrade. The wind direction will start to shift and by Tuesday the air will be coming down from the Arctic region. I see the -5 centigrade line at 850 hpa that’s at 1,500 metres moving from the North of the UK reaching the midlands. We could see our maximum daytime temperatures struggling to reach 7 centigrade by day falling to around -1 c overnight. There could be some wintry showers for, Scotland, Wales and the Pennines.

These cooler temperatures look like they could last into the first weekend of April.
