This is the outlook for the next four weeks using the JMA issued by the Japanese Met Agency. This is just one model the JMA but followers will know that I normally publish it every Thursday or Friday. I have added the three images together and I have rotated them and added a red line so you can see the UK. Blue colours are low pressure areas and orange’s colours are high pressure areas.

Week 1, 11th July to 17th.

A complex setup around the UK, We have high pressure over Scandinavia, low pressure over mainland Europe and to the North over Iceland and the North Pole. Temperature will still remain around 2 degrees above average for mid July. Rainfall will be around average, so we are going to see periods of heavy possible thundery showers around at times.

Week 2, 18th July to 24th.

High pressure stretches across the mid Atlantic, over the UK and onto north Europe and Scandinavia. Temperatures again are looking  like being around 2 degrees above average. Rainfall will be around average to fairly dry except for Scotland and Ireland where it is looking wet with above average rainfall.

Week 3, 25th July to 5th August.

It looks like there will be a change taking place during this period. We will start to see above average rainfall so it is looking quite wet. Temperatures are still looking like they will be 1 or 2 degrees above average so remaining very warm.
