This is the latest outlook for the next four weeks from the Japanese Met Agency the JMA. It is not meant to be a forecast but a general outlook. I have added the 3 images together and rotated them and added a red line so you can see the UK. Blue colours are low pressure area’s and oranges high pressure area’s.
Week 1, 6th June to 12th.
A low pressure trough is over the UK this will bring an unsettled period of weather with above average rain fall and temperatures around 1-3 degrees below what you would expect for early June.
Week 2, 13th June to 19th.
Low pressure in the mid Atlantic stretching on to the western side of the UK with high pressure over central parts of Europe. This would bring above average rainfall with fairly frequent showers and periods of rain coming from the Atlantic. Temperatures would be slightly warmer than the previous period but would only be what we would expect for mid June.
Week 3-4, 20th June to 3rd July.
This is a two week period and it is showing a low pressure area in the mid Atlantic and a high pressure area just to the South East of the UK over France. Rainfall looks like remaining above average and temperatures around average. The far south of the UK may see temperature slightly above average. We could see some thundery showers pushing up from France at times.
