This is the outlook for the next four weeks using the JMA issued by the Japanese Met Agency. This is just one model the JMA but followers will know that I normally publish it every Thursday or Friday. I have added the three images together and I have rotated them and added a red line so you can see the UK. Blue colours are low pressure areas and orange’s colours are high pressure areas.

I must state this could all change quickly if the SSW on the Vortex happens. You will know that I have been talking about this over the last two weeks.

Week 1 8th February to 14th.

This period looks like low pressure will be in control bringing above average rainfall with temperature 1 or 2 degrees below average. It will be windy at times and some of the precipitation being wintry.

Week 2 15th February 20 21st.

Low pressure trough will be in control bringing a northerly airflow allowing temperature to be 1 or 2 degrees below average with slightly above average precipitation some of the precipitation  could be wintry.

Week 3-4 22nd February to 7th March.

Low pressure, trough looks like remaining in place bringing little change from the previous week. So it looks like the temperatures will be a little below average with slightly above average precipitation some of this could be wintry.
