Update for the Easter period.

A few days ago I hinted that we could see a return of some wintry weather for Easter. At the moment the models are still showing the return of winter for this period. It looks like that -5 c line at 1,500 metres 850 hpa will move southwards over the UK during Thursday 29th. So it looks like there will be some wintry precipitation of sleet and snow. It looks like wintry conditions could last well into the 1st week of April.

It is far to early to say how wintry it will be at this time of writing. Forecasting snow is difficult enough during the winter but end of March early April it becomes even more difficult. This is well subject to change and I will keep you updated with more detail the closer we get.
