I am watching the development of a possible storm during Thursday. A low pressure system will develop during Wednesday and will deepen during the early hours of Thursday.
At the moment the centre of the low pressure will be around 884 hpa our low pressure will be around 990 hpa at its minimum. This is not unusual and not really that low. But in a Winter season where we have not had many storms around the UK its worth watching.
It’s path is not set in concrete just yet so variations in the outcome are expected. But we can expect wind speeds in the Cannock Chase area gusting up to 30 mph that’s force 6 or a little higher in exposed places. There will be some heavy blustery showers. The temperature will fall a little during the afternoon when the storm moves eastwards pulling away from the UK bringing winds from a North-westerly direction.
The images I have added together showing the predicted development and path of the low pressure system at this time of writing. I will update this page a little closer.
