A low pressure system will be moving around the northern parts of the UK. This will be developing and changing it’s shape and size over the next 24 to 36 hours bringing windy conditions.
For ourselves we will see the wind speed really starting to increase during this afternoon strengthening during the evening and night remaining windy well into Wednesday. In our area we can expect wind speed to reach 35mph that’s force 7 possibly 50 mph force 9 in exposed places.
The main rain will be today, this evening and overnight, with Wednesday being mainly dry with sunshine and just the odd shower.
I have added 3 images together to show how the low pressure system will develop over the next 24 hours.
I may be issuing a weather warning later today for windy weather.
At the moment it looks like another low pressure system will arrive bringing more stormy conditions during Friday.
