This time of year I start to take note of the snow cover area over Eurasian area. This can have some influence on the winter for the UK and Europe. The snow cover started rapidly over the last week. You can see this on the two images I have put together. One for Sunday 29th September and the other for Sunday 6th October.
I have also had a look at the mean sea ice level over the Northern hemisphere for the last 10 years. The sea ice levels are slightly below the 10 year average but above the 2012 minimum.
It is far to early to jump to any conclusions and I am certainly not making any outlooks. If you like to see what is happening and what I am watching I am only to pleased to continue to show you.
