We have a couple of very nice spring like days to come with the thermometer rising to 20 centigrade during Wednesday. Then there will be a gradual falling away of our temperatures at the end of the week and during the weekend.

Come Bank Holiday Monday daytime temperatures will struggle to reach 6 centigrade. From Monday there is a chance we may see some sleet or snow showers. Temperatures looks like continuing below average until the middle of April with some night time frosts.

This image below shows the temperature at 1,500 metres. The bottom of the graph shows precipitation. When the temperature falls below -5 c at this height, precipitation normally falls wintry, but this time of year the air is a little warmer and could turn back to rain.

If it was January or February this would be a cold wintry spell of weather. So make the most of the next few days because a colder spell of weather is on its way.
