The latest GEFS graph is still showing temperatures are slightly below average for early March. It shows a brief increase in the temperature around the 10th for a couple of days before the temperature dropping away below average again with the possibility of some wintry weather.

The graph below shows the temperature at 850 hpa approximately 1,500 metres. The thick black line is the average 30 year temperature. The bottom of the graph is precipitation anything below -5 c precipitation could fall wintry.

There is certainly no sign of spring in fact it’s looking unsettled, rather chilly for the next couple of weeks. Lets hope for a better period for weather the last third of the month, or this winter will really be dragging on.
