This is the latest outlook for the next four weeks from the Japanese Met Agency the JMA. It is not meant to be a forecast but a general outlook. I have added the 3 images together and rotated them and added a red line so you can see the UK. Blue colours are low pressure area’s and oranges high pressure area’s.

Week 1 10th October to 16th.

Large area of low pressure is situated over the Atlantic the UK and Scandinavia. We will see unsettled period of weather with above average rainfall and temperature slightly below average for this time in October. It will sometimes be quite windy.

Week 2 17th October to 23rd.

Little change in our weather with low pressure over and around the UK. Again above average rainfall with temperatures slightly below average.

Week 3-4 24th October to 5th November.

We will gradually see some improvement in our weather. High pressure is now located over Scandinavia and Western parts of mainland Europe. It should become drier then the previous periods of weather with temperature around average for end of October early November. We may start to see one or two night-time frosts.
