This is the outlook for the next four weeks. It is not meant to be a forecast but a general outlook for the period. I have used the ECMWF Weekly mean anomalies. So thanks to the ECMWF for allowing me to use their models. I have added the mean sea level pressure, Precipitation and temperature charts together for each period.
24th July to 31st.
Low pressure is over the UK with the main area of low pressure over Scandinavia. So our weather remains mixed and unsettled at times with above average rainfall and temperatures a couple of degrees below average so feeling cool.
For the UK the wettest area’s are Wales, the South West and Southern parts of England where is will be windy at times too.
31st July to 7th August.
Low pressure remains over most parts of the UK with slack air pressure over the South West. This period looks slightly drier than we have been use to for July with rainfall near to average. Temperatures are still 1 or 2 degrees below average so still feeling generally cool.
The UK looks cool with temperatures just below normal accept for the South eastern parts that could be looking very cool with temperatures a couple of degrees below average. Rainfall will be near to normal so there should be some dry days.
7th August to 14th.
A change looks like it will slowly start to take place with higher pressure over the southern area of the UK. Rainfall is looking to be around average so mainly dry. Temperatures remain just below average so generally cool with the odd warmer day.
For the UK it looks mainly dry with the odd shower and temperatures slightly below average, northern parts of Wales and the North West of England and Scotland seeing temperatures near to average.
14th August to 21st.
Higher pressure is over Southern England and the eastern parts. Improvement with more settled weather conditions, temperatures and rainfall will be around average so it will be mainly dry.
For the UK temperatures are around average accept for North West of Scotland which could see above average temperatures. Overall it will be mainly dry.
