Well this close to Christmas you would have thought the models would have settled down but no. Last night there was a wintry theme now that’s gone.
Christmas Eve.
Cloudy day with heavy rain moving in late afternoon, 7 centigrade. Rain continues through the evening. Temperature will remain around 7 centigrade during the night.
Christmas Day.
A cloudy, breezy day with the temperature starting off around 7 centigrade but during the day the temperature falls to a chilly 3-4 centigrade during the afternoon. Temperature overnight remaining around 3 centigrade.
Boxing day.
A cloudy, cold day, 3 centigrade.
Tomorrow I will publish the Christmas period forecast. I think these outlooks have shown you how things change. You don’t normally see these changes but I do, I look at 3-4 model runs each day. I also compare the different models to see which one I think is performing the best. When I checked the first run this morning I could not believe the change from yesterday evenings run. If we look back at the 7 updates I would say Christmas Eve stayed much the same. Christmas Day and Boxing day have struggled. This is due to the models having problems deciding how far the cold air would reach into the UK from the East.
