A deep low pressure system will approach the UK from the Atlantic during Friday. Around teatime on Friday evening the low pressure system will be over Ireland. We will start to see some periods of heavy rain moving into our area during the evening. During the early hours of Saturday the windspeed will start to increase becoming very windy. Around dawn Saturday morning we can expect wind speeds to be gusting 45-50 mph that’s force 8-9 gale to severe gale. So Saturday is looking to be a very unsettled day with strong winds with spells of heavy rain and showers.
